TRAIL NEWS
It is important that all members actively participate in
meetings, trail work, and club activities in order to keep our club
strong. It is imperative that more members become involved
with maintaining and signing trails to keep them open and
safe. Unfortunately, without more volunteers, we will be
forced to close trails.
There are several small projects that are planned and need to be
coordinated before deer season starts. In order to complete
these projects, work parties will be starting in September.
Dates and locations will be posted on the website.
Trail captains must inspect their trails and determine what work
needs to be done to get them ready for this season. Please
have this done ASAP, especially in deer hunting sensitive
areas. We will be contacting all trail captains no later than
September 12th to get their list of trail work and signs
needed. If you are interested in becoming a trail
captain, contact Larry Snyder at 537-9172.
FUNDRAISING
We have new applications for kiosk sign sponsors. There is
space for 22 sponsors on all 10 kiosk signs, which are located at
all major intersections in our trail system. We are currently
looking for more sponsors to fill the 22 spots. This is one
of our major fundraisers and it provides excellent advertising for
local businesses.
Registration renewals have been sent out by the state. A
membership application is enclosed with this newsletter.
Please complete the application and return it to the address listed
on the form. You may also drop it off at Ken's Service,
Pioneer Motorsports, The Valley, or the Holland Willows. You
can also complete the form online by visiting our website and
clicking on the membership link.

PRESIDENT'S COMMENTS
Before we know it, the snow will be flying and another season
will be upon us. We are excited to start this season with all
new officers and several new board members. We would like to
see as many members as possible at the upcoming meetings. The
club is not just about completing trail work. It is also a
great opportunity to meet friends, neighbors, and other members of
the community with a common interest. Snowmobiling is a fun
family sport and we would like to carry that over into the meetings
and activities as well.
In an effort to become more family-friendly, we will be planning
a kid's ride and several trail-side cookouts throughout the
season. If anyone is interested in helping, please contact
Greg at 713-2641.
We are looking forward to the upcoming season and hope to see
many of you at the meetings!
